My staff and I truly care about our patients and make every attempt to listen to them in the perioperative period. This allows Dr. Stone to tailor his care for each patient to meet their needs and account for any pre-existing medical conditions. In the early postoperative period this is very important to catch any problems early on so they can be addressed and have little or no adverse effect on the end result.

Safety and patient well being are our first priority. Our in office operating room is AAAASF certified with back up power among other safety precautions and we are located immediately adjacent to Century City Hospital for an additional layer of safety back up. General practice or internal medicine input is readily available and required by Dr. Stone before surgery on patients meeting specific criteria.

Surgical results are a close second priority. To achieve this goal our patients can be comfortable knowing that Dr. Stone is fully licensed, board certified, keeps abreast of the ever progressing field of plastic surgery through continuing medical education programs and is an expert reviewer, reviews plastic surgery cases, for the California Medical Board (the entity that grants as well as revokes physicians' licenses in California).

Care after surgery starts with the office visit before your surgery. Photos are taken, consent forms signed, prescriptions for medications given and detailed instructions will be written for your after surgery care. This ensures that there is plenty of time before surgery to address any questions about the procedure(s) and recovery, and allows for the proper support systems to be put into place for an uncomplicated postsurgery recovery. After surgery care is as an important factor as the surgeon or the surgery itself. Following your plastic surgeon's instructions accurately can make the difference between a stellar result and a mediocre result.

We will not abandon you after your surgery. Dr. Stone personally calls patients within 24 hours of their surgery. Regular follow up visits and phone calls are made to make sure you are progressing well. During your post operation recovery we make ourselves available to you 24 hours a day.

In most cases you can recuperate in the comfort of home with minimal help from loved ones and friends. For out of town or local patients who need help we can provide skilled nursing care in your home or hotel room. More skilled controlled care is required for after facelift surgery, most abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) operations and after large volume liposuction. There are many facilities nearby our Century City office that provide these services. Most are very private and of high caliber. We would be happy to provide you their brochures during your presurgery office visit. You may even wish to visit some of these facilities before your surgery.

All patients are contacted by Dr. Stone about 6 months after surgery to see how well they are progressing. Out of town patients are always welcome to drop in and say hello when they are in the area.

We hope to see you in our office. I would like to help you put together a plan that will meet and satisfy your individual needs.
